Raise dispute

Since 2015 our Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) service has been assessed biennially by the regulator, Ofgem. We adapt our service in line with the points raised to improve the experience for energy consumers.


About this report

In accordance with Ofgem’s role as the Competent Authority, every two years they’re responsible for assessing whether the Energy Ombudsman still meets the approval criteria under which it was appointed.

Energy Ombudsman has been approved to be the provider of the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) service for the energy sector under the Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumer Disputes Regulations (Competent Authorities and Information) introduced in 2015.
