Energy Ombudsman Welcomes Government’s Ofgem Review

Today’s call for information published by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) is positive news for energy consumers in the UK. The government is looking to strengthen Ofgem, with a view to providing stronger protections and better service for energy consumers.

We are particularly encouraged by the emphasis on improving consumer outcomes and streamlining complaint resolution processes. These measures align closely with our aim of ensuring access to effective redress and fair outcomes for all energy consumers.
